Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 1, 2026
AURA Network is a decentralized protocol. We collect minimal data, never sell your information, and cannot access your private keys or wallet funds under any circumstances.
1. Who We Are
AURA Network ("we", "us", "our") operates the decentralized computing protocol accessible at auranode.io. The platform allows users to contribute device resources in exchange for AUR tokens on the Polygon blockchain.
For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at: contact@auranode.io
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the protocol:
- Wallet address — when you connect your wallet to mine or submit tasks. This is a public blockchain identifier, not personal data.
- Device type — browser and hardware category (mobile/desktop/GPU) to assign appropriate tasks. Not linked to your identity.
- Task performance data — hash rates, task completion status, and reward amounts. Stored in our database and linked to your wallet address only.
- IP address — collected automatically by our web server. Used solely for security (rate limiting, abuse prevention) and never sold or shared.
- Contact form data — if you submit a task via the platform, we receive the task parameters and your wallet address.
We do not collect: names, emails, phone numbers, physical addresses, or any government-issued identification.
3. Blockchain Data
All transactions on the Polygon blockchain are public and immutable by design. When you claim AUR rewards or transfer tokens:
- Your wallet address and transaction amounts are permanently recorded on-chain
- This data is publicly accessible to anyone — this is a fundamental property of public blockchains
- We have no ability to delete or modify on-chain data
4. How We Use Your Information
- To calculate and distribute mining rewards fairly
- To process task submissions from clients
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and Sybil attacks
- To maintain platform security and performance
- To respond to support inquiries
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the protocol.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secured servers. We implement the following measures:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit (TLS 1.2+)
- No storage of private keys — we never ask for and never receive your seed phrase or private key
- JWT-based authentication for admin functions
- Rate limiting and IP-based abuse prevention
- Regular security reviews
Wallet connections are handled via MetaMask and WalletConnect. We receive only your public wallet address — never your private key or seed phrase.
6. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for the site to function:
- Session cookies — to maintain your session while using the platform
- Preference cookies — to remember display preferences
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tools that profile users.
7. Third-Party Services
The platform integrates with:
- Polygon blockchain — for token transactions. Governed by Polygon's own terms.
- MetaMask / WalletConnect — for wallet connections. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Public RPC nodes — to read blockchain state. No personal data is shared.
We do not integrate with Facebook, Google Analytics, or any advertising network.
8. Data Retention
We retain:
- Mining records — indefinitely, as they represent earned rewards and are needed for dispute resolution
- IP logs — up to 30 days, then automatically deleted
- Task submission data — for the duration of the task plus 90 days
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of off-chain data linked to your wallet
- Object to processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Note: On-chain blockchain data cannot be deleted due to the immutable nature of the blockchain. To exercise your rights for off-chain data, contact contact@auranode.io.
10. Children's Privacy
AURA Network is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the platform, contact us and we will delete their off-chain data promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
